The FORUM Confirms Paul Stewart As Panelist For London Event

Paul is a Director of VAT services at KPMG having previously worked for HM Customs & Excise.
He and his team advise businesses that are predominantly in the travel leisure and tourism sector on a variety of VAT issues. The scope of work includes both UK and international VAT liaising as necessary with the KPMG international VAT network. This ranges from advising on the VAT implications of the transactions entered into by business to advice on structuring supplies of goods and services on a commercial basis to obtain a more efficient tax result.
Paul has been involved in advising businesses in the vacation ownership sector for over fifteen years. Areas covered include the VAT treatment of fixed floating weeks, timeshare points, maintenance fees, points maintenance fees and business promotion schemes. Paul has also advised business involved in fractional ownership and destination and private residence clubs.
In addition to advising on day to day VAT matters he is currently involved in ECJ VAT litigation in connection with the VAT treatment of points.
