Each child had the chance to visit with Santa Claus and select a holiday gift. Other highlights included face painting, arts and crafts activities, as well as some tasty treats.</p>

<p>For Brand Tango, a Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based marketing, technology and design firm, 2010 is off to a promising start. After winning a national Gold Addy award from the American Advertising Federation in 2009, Brand Tango has won 13 Addy Awards in last weekend’s Ft. Lauderdale and Miami local competitions, the first step toward national honors.</p>
<p>At the Ft. Lauderdale show, work by Brand Tango vice president and creative director James Kluetz took home Best in Print and Best in Show honors in addition to six Gold and four Silver Addys. Kluetz entered one project in the Miami competition and won a Gold Addy for that entry.</p>
<p>Both competitions qualify the firm to move forward toward a national Addy from the American Advertising Federation. With more than 50,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world’s largest advertising competition and arguably one of the toughest, with three tiers of competition.</p>
<p>“It’s a thrill to see our work recognized by our peers,” says Joe Russoniello, Brand Tango’s president and co-founder. “Especially since this is an awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.”</p>
<p>Among Brand Tango clients whose projects were honored was Hacienda Tres Rios Resort. A new member point-of-sale kit for Hacienda Tres Rios Resort won Best in Print. Other clients with winning projects are Premier Cancun Vacations, Neoptx, Floridays Vacation Club, Royal Resorts Caribbean, a Sunset World/RCI Web site and AutomaticMe.com, which won for a social networking Web site developed by Brand Tango.</p>
<p>Winning a Gold in the Miami competition was a project for Fastkit Corp., which Kluetz designed in association with Brand Tango’s partner agency Pinpoint Communications of Deerfield, Fla., where he also serves as vice president and creative director.</p>
<p>“We’re grateful to our clients for entrusting us with their brand and image,” Kluetz says. “In these challenging times, we know that what matters is return on investment, and these projects delivered.”</p>
<p>In addition to Brand Tango’s Best in Show Print, Kluetz’s creative direction for Brand Tango’s partner agency, Pinpoint Communications, took home Best in Show overall for a Magaritaville Tailgating Dealer Promotion sales kit for Jarden Consumer Solutions.</p>
<p>This recognition comes as Brand Tango heads into the American Resort Development Association’s awards gala in Las Vegas on March 17, where it’s a finalist for 14 Gold ARDY Awards.</p>

<p>First and foremost, members are visiting the region in increasing numbers and U.S. resident leisure travelers who have indicated an interest in purchasing some form of shared ownership in the next two years also chose this market as a top destination of interest.</p>
<p>“Member demand for vacation exchange and resort rentals in the Caribbean is strong and we continue to affiliate new projects throughout the region,” said David C. Gilbert, executive vice president of resort sales and marketing for Interval International. “In today’s environment, shared ownership offers resort developers a compelling business model with multiple profit centers and higher occupancy levels than hotels. In the case of mixed-use projects, it also provides the potential for cost-saving operating synergies and reduced marketing costs.”</p>
<p>Interval reported that bookings into the Caribbean increased approximately nine percent from January through November 2009, as compared to the same period in 2008. This is particularly encouraging in light of the global economic downturn that adversely affected overall arrivals to the Caribbean over the past year.<br />
Additionally, interest in the region among U.S. resident leisure travelers considering a shared ownership purchase is significant. According to the Future Timeshare Buyers: 2009 Market Profile, the Caribbean is one of the preferred international destinations of choice among U.S. resident leisure travelers interested in purchasing vacation time in the next two years, as approximately eight in 10 (78 percent) indicate they want to vacation in the region.</p>

<p>According to Matt Brosious, Director of Sales, &#8221; We are pleased to be have been selected by the Caravanserai Beach Resort, who joins an expanding number of resorts, who see the immediate benefit of implementing SPI Orange Systems software for timeshare sales, resort management and owners servicing. Of particular benefit is that everything including management reports is ready to go, thus facilitating a rapid implementation in days or weeks, not months or years.&#8221;</p>
