Mac Van Der Merwe, a 61-year-old South African, is the head of Zorgvliet Private Residence Club, a collection of five resorts in his country that he purchased in 2002. Matt McDaniel spoke with the affable developer in August to talk about his resorts and the upcoming World Cup – and found out that Mr. Van Der Merwe not only seeks to grow his PRC, but he also is looking to help other developers grow, even if he gets nothing out of it.
