Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN), one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, with its commitment to global sustainability proudly announces “WyndhamGreen Kids,” a program designed to teach children ages three to fourteen about our environment, our community, and our world. Children from all around the world will be able to learn how to take care of our planet using our six core strategies: Energy conservation, Water conservation, Recycling/re-using, Education, Community Involvement, and Innovation.

Wyndham Worldwide is celebrating Earth Day by educating kids about sustainability locally at its headquarters in Parsippany, NJ as well as nationally through the WyndhamGreen Kids website where children can find workbook activities and hands-on activities arranged by their local environmental organizations.

“We are proud to be one of the first hospitality companies to launch a dedicated sustainability program for children,” said Faith Taylor, Wyndham Worldwide vice president, sustainability and innovation. “This program is just one pillar of Wyndham’s overall commitment to sustainability. As a global company, we are committed to conserving resources, preserving natural habitats and preventing pollution in order to meet the needs of our customers and the lives of future generations.”

WyndhamGreen by Wyndham Worldwide, the company’s recently launched sustainability program, is seizing the opportunity to manage energy consumption as a part of the Company’s overall green strategy across its businesses and brands, which together encompass nearly 70,000 properties in 100 countries. Due to its numerous brands, properties and distribution points, WyndhamGreen is expected to have a large impact on the Company’s overall carbon footprint.

The recently released WyndhamGreen Global Best Practices document showcases the company’s initiatives in energy and water conservation, recycling, education, community programs and innovation. Kicking off the company’s commitment is Wyndham Worldwide’s Silver LEED certified 250,000-square-foot headquarters, located in Parsippany, New Jersey. The building is expected to reduce water, energy and waste by 10 to 30 percent. The Company also recently received the “Green Pioneer” award from ConEdison Solutions for purchasing 100 percent of the building’s electricity from wind generation.

Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with more than 7,000 hotels and 11 brands, is implementing the EarthSmart linen reuse program to save resources and operational costs. The company’s Super 8®, Howard Johnson®, Travelodge®, Days Inn® and Ramada® brands currently participate.

The Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand developed uniforms spun from recycled plastic bottles. Each uniform requires 66 percent less energy and 90 percent less water to produce than a standard uniform. The upscale hotel chain’s Wyndham ClearAir(sm) initiative features allergy-friendly rooms designed at improving air quality. The Wyndham chain also incorporates ecologically-friendly initiatives including use of energy-efficient compact fluorescent lighting; low-flow water practices; EarthSmart guest linen reuse program; Starbucks® organic coffees in its restaurants; guestroom key cards made from recycled material; biodegradable guest laundry bags; and numerous recycling efforts.

Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, the worldwide leader in vacation exchange and the European leader in vacation rentals, saved 1.3 million kilowatts annually at its Parsippany headquarters and Indianapolis call center by replacing lighting fixtures and bulbs and installing motion sensors to control lighting and heating, ventilation and air conditioning units. Last year, RCI was the first in the vacation exchange industry to begin printing all of its resort directories and Endless Vacation magazines for members on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper. RCI also converted vacation confirmations and notifications to members from direct mail to e-mail, saving more than 5 million pieces of paper and an estimated 435 trees.

Wyndham Vacation Ownership, the world’s largest vacation ownership business, provides low- and no-phosphate laundry and dish detergent in its resorts, an initiative that has reduced pollutants by 90,000 pounds since its inception in 2008.

Wyndham Vacation Ownership’s Asia Pacific division developed a sustainable destination resort on the Australian island Tasmania that practices conservation of biodiversity and restoration of the natural habitat. The resort utilizes a state-of-the art wastewater treatment plant, and its villas were designed to resemble sea shells to fit into the environment.

Globally Wyndham Worldwide received recognition in Two Tomorrows Top 10 Sustainable rankings. In Europe, Wyndham’s Exchange & Rental Holiday Cottages Group was awarded the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) Silver Award, which is the United Kingdom’s recognition for green tourism. While in the United States, Wyndham was named to Newsweek’s Green Ranking as one of the top 100 greenest companies in America and was just recently announced as a finalist in the USGBC’s fourth annual “Building a Greener New Jersey” award, which will be announced on May 20, 2010. Wyndham Worldwide is one of three finalists in the Corporate Commitment category.

About Wyndham Worldwide Corporation
Bill Morris, Managing Partner of Mobius Vendor Partners, (MVP) an Indianapolis-based company that provides business process management and market research services to companies, associations and non-profit organizations, has announced that CustomerCount,© an On-Line Feedback System has been selected by Breckenridge Grand Vacations as a instrument for monitoring and measuring guest and resort experiences.

Brings Flexibility to Measuring “Net Promoter Score” says GM

Bill Morris, Managing Partner of Mobius Vendor Partners, (MVP) an Indianapolis-based company that provides business process management and market research services to companies, associations and non-profit organizations, has announced that CustomerCount,© an On-Line Feedback System has been selected by Breckenridge Grand Vacations as a instrument for monitoring and measuring guest and resort experiences.

Located in Breckenridge, Colorado, Breckenridge Grand Vacations was formed in 2007, serving as the developer, owner and operator of three Breckenridge Resorts; Gold Point Condominiums, Grand Timber Lodge, and its newest resort, the Grand Lodge on Peak 7. Breckenridge Grand Vacations has also been recognized as one of the most successful independent developers in the industry.

Kit Armour, General Manager at Breckenridge Grand Vacations says “CustomerCount® was selected to use for immediate customer feedback to provide summary data to help establish our ‘net promoter score.’ “
The Net Promoter® score allows you to categorize customers into three groups based on their willingness to recommend your company or product to a friend or colleague:

• Promoters (score 9–10) are loyal enthusiasts who will keep buying and refer others, fueling growth.
• Passives (score 7–8) are satisfied but unenthusiastic customers who are vulnerable to competitive offerings.
• Detractors (score 0–6) are unhappy customers who can damage your brand and impede growth through negative word-of-mouth.

Kit Armour says “Mobius Vendor Partners (developers of CustomerCount®) developed the on-line feedback system with a thorough knowledge of timesharing and its various components. For instance, our Director of Guest Relations uses the real-time response of CustomerCount® to address any guest concerns immediately. We also can follow up post timeshare tour to zone in on positive and negatives that allow us to make our sales experience better for our guests. The bottom line is that MVP has been around our industry for more than a decade and its inherent understanding of the timeshare model gives developers like us the ability to be flexible in using this tool. “

The CustomerCount® program, developed initially by MVP for its client RCI, collects and measures customer feedback through branded, customized surveys formulated to measure the quality of the entire customer experience from reservations and sales through to the vacation stay itself. CustomerCount tracks three primary components: the reservation experience, the sales experience and the vacation experience.

CustomerCount® is fully transparent to members, owners and guests. The process begins with Email invitations and reminders and continues through to on-line reporting and analysis 24/7. It may be customized for use by shared ownership resort developments, as well as other businesses.

Morris says “the timely consistency of the process allows management to identify problem trends and needs; pinpoint challenges most significant to prospects, customers and/or guests; target improvement efforts and increase customer satisfaction levels by creating benchmarks and monitoring improvement.”

Mobius Vendor Partners is a ten year old business process design and management company specializing in servicing the needs of the timeshare industry. Mobius principals are active in ARDA through sponsorships and committee memberships. Robert Kobek RRP is a member of the Board of Trustees of the ARDA International Foundation.

World’s largest vacation exchange company celebrates employee wellness initiative with NBC’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ season four winner, Bill Germanakos

World’s largest vacation exchange company celebrates employee wellness initiative with NBC’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ season four winner, Bill Germanakos

Employees of RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), did more than send families on dream vacations in recent weeks. Many of them lost a combined total of more than 1,800 pounds in the Carmel office’s 12-week wellness contest, an initiative designed to encourage RCI employees to live a healthier lifestyle by incorporating fitness and a proper diet into their daily routines. Impressed with their efforts, Bill Germanakos, season four winner of NBC’s hit series “The Biggest Loser,” visited the site to celebrate participants’ success.

As an added motivation to participate in the program, every pound shed by an associate will equate to a pound of food donated by RCI to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that strives to secure, store and redistribute donated food to more than 400 charities. All food will be donated in time for the Christmas holiday.

“This contest has created a tremendously positive buzz among our associates,” said Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI North America. “What started out as a fun idea among a few associates quickly grew to a contest involving more than 270 associates looking to incorporate healthier activities into their day-to-day lives. Because of the fantastic response, we’re planning to roll it out at other RCI offices in 2010.”

Each week, teams consisting of RCI associates with similar fitness levels and health histories participate in a weigh-in. At the end of the contest on December 11, the person on each team that lost the greatest percentage of body weight will receive $500 and the person who lost the greatest percentage of body weight overall will receive $1,000. Throughout the 12-week contest, participants have been awarded fitness-functional gifts courtesy of ProMotion Fitness, the professional health-fitness management team coordinating the weigh-ins and providing coaching sessions, fitness classes, nutritional guidance, personal training and psychological assistance to participants.
