Endless ®  launches the LOL  Contest; tell your funniest travel story for an opportunity to win a week’s plus cash

Building off the success of its first contest, Endless (EVR), one of the family of brands (NYSE: WYN), is again looking to turn someone’s funny story into an Endless and give away more than $40,000USD in prizes. The enhanced and interactive LOL Contest is now calling for funny stories and visitors to tickle the hippo.

Starting on November 2, 2009, contest participants can enter their funniest story at . The top 25 funniest entries, as chosen by EVR, will be announced on or around February 20, 2010, and posted at . Visitors can then cast their votes for the funniest story until April 2, 2010. Winners will be announced the week of April 19, 2010, and the story receiving the most votes will receive the Grand Prize: a one-week rental stay, valued at up to $5,000USD, through EVRentals.com, plus $5,000USD in cash cards. The First Prize winner will receive a one-week rental stay, valued at up to $2,500USD, plus $2,500USD in cash cards and the Second Prize winner will receive a one-week rental stay, valued at up to $1,000USD, plus $1,000USD in cash cards.

As part of the contest, EVR will display a advertisement in New York’s Times Square prompting participants to text “LOL” to 95495 to tickle the hippo with their cell phones. The goal of collecting tickles is to reach 100,000 and send two deserving families on a ; one family was selected by Christel House International Foundation and the other was selected by the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Throughout the contest, visitors can visit to tickle the hippo as often as they like to help reach the goal.
