Over the past couple of years I have sat at conferences and listened to many sessions about Social Media and Internet Marketing with speeches from marketing gurus trying to explain why the shared ownership industry should jump on board – but even now in 2010 we still have sessions such as “Social Media: Is it just Hype?” which shows that many people are just not understanding the importance of implementing these powerful tools, and so I thought I would share with you some statistics, guidelines of how to get involved and some defining results we have achieved by using internet marketing and social media, so we can all move forward faster as an industry.

Fractional properties as part of the hospitality industry, by their very nature of transient guests, multiple owners, excess consumption, and housekeeping demands, are inherently an impact on the environment. It’s no wonder that the hospitality industry has embraced green solutions to help them lower operating costs and increase everyone’s health and wellbeing. Recently, one major brand launched their “Make a Green Choice” program that gives guests the option to opt out of linen and towel replacement, along with daily housekeeping.
